An Innovative Edge
Typically with most companies, people only have two choices for their replacement windows: wood or vinyl. However, there are pros and cons to both options. Wood is the more durable material — however, it has the tendency to rot and peel over time. Vinyl, on the other hand, is low maintenance, but easily changes its shape with weather. This leaves gaps between your wall and window frame which can allow air to pass through. It’s like throwing money out of the window with all of the money you will be spending on your energy bills.
Renewal by Andersen came up with a solution to solve the issues of both maintenance and durability. We created our own patented product called Fibrex. Fibrex is a polymer material that combines the best qualities of wood and vinyl. This material is so durable that it maintains its same shape through all types of weather. However, Fibrex is also low maintenance and resistant to all mold, rotting, and pealing. It does not need to be repainted or chemically treated. You can even select a dark color if you prefer, because Fibrex can endure the heat used to stain materials a darker color.
