Renewal by Andersen® Window Styles

As windows wear out over time, they grow less effective. you may find a double-hung window is gets stuck instead of smoothly gliding, you may feel drafts or cracks, and wood may begin to peel and lose its original appearance. No matter the reason for needing replacements, we can help you find the perfect window to match your taste and personal requirements.

Here’s a basic overview of the many types of residential replacement windows that we offer:

Awning Windows

Awning windows push open at an angle, and are easily operated with a crank. One benefit of this style is the ability to let in fresh air while it’s raining. The angle of the window glass protects your home from an influx of raindrops.

Bay & Bow Windows

These unique fixtures buckle outwards for a panoramic view of your yard. The angled curve also creates a shelf like space for decorations or place to sit, nap, or gaze outside over a book. The details of bay and bows windows are eye-catching focal points in any room of your home.

Casement Windows

Casement windows are our most energy efficient item. These windows operate with a crank and swing outwards to easily let in fresh air. They are also extremely easy to clean both sides without moving outdoors to reach certain areas.

Double Hung

Double hung windows are the most popular type. They slide upward vertically to let in fresh air. Although these may be the most common type of window in homes, you have the flexibility of customizing the color, grille pattern, and hardware.

This modern style of window features horizontal sliding sashes, freeing up some space while providing tremendous energy efficiency. They can move from both sides and are easy to clean with just a damp towel and glass cleaner.

Another single pane window option, this style is a hassle free decorative option for homeowners. The window is fixed to the wall and does not open or tilt. They are ideal for high ceilings, next to doors, or other places where you would like a little extra light.

Specialty windows come in unique shapes and sizes, designed entirely for the interior look you would like to achieve. Specialty windows often accompany traditional window types to accent their shape such as using a half circle to create an arch above a rectangle picture window. They do not have the functionality of opening or closing and primarily add detail and light to a room.
